Announcing the Seattle 2.0 Events API

By Marcelo Calbucci

How do you get structured data for your website from scattered and unstructured data? Get us to do it for you.

This news falls somewhere in between we found a solution for Global Warming and a better way to scoop snow from your driveway in Seattle... in September!

But enough of that, we are launching an Events API that allows anyone to syndicate/use/mashup our events content the way they intend (even for profit, although I wouldn't bet on that).

For the geeks in the house, this is not an RSS feed, this is a real full-featured XML API to get all our events. Better yet, you don't need to subscribe, sign up, get an API key or anything. Just call the API and get the results.

Want to mashup? Check out our API documentation.

I seriously considered exposing our entire database in an XML API for people to play with all the good data we have, but then I realized it was more work than I was willing to put up for now. We'll be releasing a few more APIs soon.
